Here are some rarely-asked but helpful questions you can ask a recruiter in an interview:

1. What is the hiring manager looking for in this role?

2. I read that one of the company values is [x]. Can you give me an example of when you've experienced that yourself?

3. What are characteristics of the best hiring managers you've worked with?

4. What's great about your recruitment process and what could be improved?

5. What kind of person does best at [company]?

And here are some rarely-used but helpful questions you can ask the hiring manager in an interview:

1. How would the people you manage describe your management style?

2. How do you make sure people feel safe to voice their opinion and make mistakes?

3. What kind of person does best in your team?

4. How is this role important in your team and in the business?

5. How does the company handle feedback from employees and do you have an example of when employee feedback was implemented?

These questions are good to ask because:

1) They'll give you far more useful information than generic questions like "What's the culture like?"

2) Most candidates don't ask these type of questions so you'll probably stand out as being curious, smart, and different.
